  • Shannon Blanch

    Shannon Blanch is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State. She received a Bachelors in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work, followed by the attainment of a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University.

    She began in the field working with children and their families in the Child Welfare system. Then moved to public schools, where she provides individual counseling, crisis management, and assessments. Shannon’s experience extends to an OMH counseling center providing counseling to clients dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, and life transitions.

    She uses integrative approaches that incorporate dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) and mindfulness techniques. Shannon has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Central to her practice philosophy is the creation of a secure and non-judgmental space that fosters exploration and growth, enabling you to delve into the core issues that led you to therapy. Each session is dedicated to cultivating support and empowering you to harness your strengths.
